I'm selling my custom built lefty McIlroy guitar as I'm buying a new one and need to raise the cash. I've posted a pic of the appointments. Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides. Guitar is 8 years old, gigged 100s of times. I've included pics of scratches and dings. They are cosmetic but reflected in price. This guitar, with these appointments is over £ new-I've reduced by half for quick sale. The guitar looks stunning and sounds amazing with a rich plain sound like you would expect from a vintage 45 years old Gibson. • All original parts apart from the tuners that had to be replaced (but still included in the case - original too). • Original PAFs • Beautiful ebony fretboard • Fretless wonder (the frets are lower than the current Gibson Custom on purpose) The guitar is not too heavy compared to other Les Paul's. It's in overall very good condition, a few dings, cracks in paint and scratches of course but pretty normal for a guitar of that age. Lovely Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul left handed guitar. Very resonant guitar only weighs 8lbs, this is very light for a Les Paul, it's not weight relieved or chambered just good quality resonant wood. The body is one piece. No cracks or breaks One ding on the headstock, one on the base of the body. Usual signs of wear on guitar and case but overall very nice and clean. Pickups are period accurate brushed steel aged Monty PAFs installed by the guy who makes them...check out the website, it's where Mark Knofler gets his from. bright sounding like a tele on steroids like a humbucker is meant to sound. 50s neck rounded and very comfortable, not huge. You are looking at a Fender Crafted in Japan Telecaster. It's a 62 Reissue, manufactured in . The guitar has been customised with GraphTech non-slip bridge saddles and Grover locking tuner heads that really keep this thing in tune. It's currently strung with Ernie Ball regular slinky () and has been using them for years. There ARE dents and dings. My band is no longer together unfortunately - hence selling.
