Leaf from the Koran. Paper purchased with piece dates at th century. Ink on paper (egg-glazed), 1 column, 15 lines. Round floral decorations in gold. Overall 15 ¼” x ”. Well preserved with some staining and small tears. Please review pictures to verify condition. Text excerpt from decription page that came with document: This leaf was written by the Egyptian calligrapher Mohammed ibn Kuzel Al Isawai with a reed, on egg glazed paper that antedates any European made paper by a half a century.
