LATE VICTORIAN SOLID MAHOGANY TELESCOPIC DINING TABLE c. , This table is 103 cm (40.5”) wide and 107 cm (42”) Long and can be extended to 148 cm (”) with the extra leaf is inserted. The bulbous turned supports (legs) are exactly at each corner where no one sits solving the problem of leg room most efficiently.It has been in daily use by my family at least for all of the 20th century and maybe from new. We use it every day but intend replacing it with a more modern table. It is in need of some restoration to return it to pristine condition. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SOLID MAHOGANY EXTENDING DINING TABLE

Antique mahogany dining table, over 100 years old, from the mid-Victorian period. The table is in fine vintage condition, free from woodworm and in very useable condition. The oval top has a fabulous 'pie crust' carved edge. The wind out mechanism extends the table from cm to cm. This is achieved by the insertion of the additional leaf which measures 30x105 cm. The top stands on a base with four large cabriolet legs, beautifully carved on floral motive, with 'ball and claw' feet standing on brass casters.The top is solid mahogany, as is the whole table. It has some light marks but a lot of character and certainly makes a statement. The table stands 75cm high and it comes with a period wind handle. Currently 161 cm long 114 cm wide Needs repair. Two of the feet need work on. There is an extra leaf which can be inserted which needs polishing. This is 42 cm, so would put the table up to 183 cm Is being kept in a conservatory which is not ideal - see the pictures of some leaves splitting - but a decent amount of polish should be able to cover this up. The table is 70 inches by 50 inches when open and 28.5 inches high with turned legs. It reduces to 24 inches by 50 inches when the leaves are folded.
