Laser Bug for sale; The boat is complete and ready to sail; the hull, sail, spars, rudder and centerboard are all in good condition with just the usual scuff marks. The hull also has Laser's optional bow wheel which, when used with the telescopic transom handles, enables the boat to be moved without the use of a lunching trolley this is extremely useful. This is a great boat for children to learn to sail and take their sailing further - excellent performance from a modern design combined with an unsinkable hull and modern materials. As such I think this is a far more practical boat than many similar-sized boats that are based on old designs. This also includes: Bug Race top mast (£120) Bug engine bracket (£135) Bug Race sail (£285) Bug Rowlocks Bug two piece oars that will store in the hull! The boat is small and light enough to be transported on a roof rack, which is how we always carried it. Our children have outgrown this dinghy so its now time for it go. built ish, standard 3.8 sail (5/6 years old in good/excellent condition), complete, ready for water. Overall dinghy mixed condition: mast step watertight but needs some cosmetic at lip; repairs under gunwhale at trolley support but looks solid; crazing and cracking in places in cockpit and on deck, but deck is very firm. Mast, boom and deck true. For last ten years sailed one week a year (Kippford Week). Includes newish trolley, ancient but serviceable cover and, for free, a road trailer (for local roads not motorway). Go faster kit included (not set up in image because that used to be done by someone now in NZ!) NB the hatch is the cockpit (for refreshments!) not near the mast step - that's just the lid, oops! We have owned this boat for 5 years and had great fun in her but failing knees mean that we didn’t use her last year so, regrettably, she has to be sold. Shown in picture ghosting up to the Yacht Club slipway one evening after an enjoyable day. She has been used for family and solo sailing, not raced other than in the occasional fun regatta. She has a nice stable intermediate design: exiting but not too extreme. The PE3 hull construction is durable and needs zero maintenance other washing down after a sail. There are two useful screw-down dry hatches in which you can put your lunch, car keys etc ready for a break. She is in excellent condition with no significant dings or scratches on hull or topsides and comes complete with:- Galvanised road trailer + lighting board with easy piggyback launching trolley. Original RS cover which allows for the boat to be stored mast up or down. Mylar slab reefing, battened Main with roller furling Jib. Sail area 12.2m2 All blocks, sheaves, running and standing rigging in sound condition.
