Large Vintage German Fat Lava Lamp with original shade

I have had this a number of years and it is a beautiful piece. Change of decor so i am selling this on now. It measures 82cms tall from base to top of shade and the shade is 36cms in diameter. The base at the widest area is approx 22cms. The base is really bright and colourful in fiery reds and oranges and is offered in very good condition. The shade has some staining but this was like this when i brought it and it has never bothered me. Please do study the photos so you can see the staining on the shade. It has a screw type bulb and is in working order but has not been electrically tested. It has a two pin plug which just needs the three pin adapter plug which are very cheap to purchase. Read more

Vintage West German Lava lamp. Has some damage, (as shown in photos), to surface decoration. However, this is not really apparent due to the mottled effect of the design. Vintage s/70s W German Pottery "Baby" Fat Lava Lamp

This vintage ceramic table lamp is the iconic lamp of the s/70s. It is unusual in that it is a lot smaller than the large floor-standing lamps normally associated with the West German pottery lamps of the period. It is also unusual in that it has the 2 x bulb arrangement of the larger lamps. It also retains its original hessian-covered conical shade. This is for a double handled FAT LAVA floor lamp in used condition. Wonderful statement lamp in rich tones of orange. The lamp measures 14” across and 21” high (not including the lampshade) Made in West Germany is etched on the base. Double bulb lamp, one at the top and one in the base. The lamp will need new wiring. ONE OF THE HANDLES IS FRAGILE WHERE IT JOINS THE BASE, IT HAS NOT COME APART BUT NEEDS TO BE TREATED WITH CARE. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF CHIPS 1 ON THE TIP OF A HANDLE AND 1 ON THE BASE RIM AS SHOW IN THE PICTURES. THIS LAMP IS ROUGHLY 45 YEARS OLD AND THEREFORE HAS SIGNS OF USE.
