LARGE VINTAGE BRASS PENDANT LANTERN (probably 100 years old) Original large brass lantern suitable for the larger Victorian or Edwardian house. Ideal for entrance hall, porch etc. Six glazed panels with chequered etching and with stars between (difficult to photograph) in very thin glass. One panel has piece missing as shown on photo’ (we have always hung the lantern with the broken panel on the least noticeable side). The fitting as three bayonet fitting sockets for bulbs and is shown with candle bulbs. Measurements are: drop 28”, lantern panels 10”x6”, width across 9.5” Note the lovely drop at the base containing the bulb holders and the three decorative arms supporting the lantern. The brass ceiling rose also contains attractive detail. Has been rewired in past for three core cable but this needs checking out by your electrician before hanging. Large ceiling lantern light fitting. Ideal for hotel, pub, Manor House etc. Made of brass with eight glass panes and eight bulbs. One of the thin panes of glass is slightly chipped but this is not obvious at first glance. Measures 550mm at its widest, 475mm its narrowest. 550mm square as you look down upon it. 250mm decorative arms from the glass lantern to the chain. The chain is 700mm in length. There are minor speckles on the brass which may be removed with polishing. The lights within the lantern swing freely when moved. There are four large panes of glass and four narrower panes. VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE ORNATE CAST IRON LARGE GARDEN LANTERN / LIGHT IN NEED OF SERIOUS RESTORATION This is a beautiful and very ornate vintage garden lantern.  It is cast in a typical Victorian design and is extremely large measuring 37 ins tall and 22 ins wide.  It is hexagon in shape with a removable ash tray at the bottom and opening door to one side.  The top finial comes off but this lantern has been in the garden for many years and has suffered although we have been using as is for many years.
