OLD WALL MOUNTED PENDULUM CLOCK BY HAC
I think this is what is known as an American School Clock but that is just what others have told us. We have had it in storage since downsizing two years ago, having originally bought it as a decorative piece to hang in our hallway. In fact, it kept remarkably good time and runs for about eight days between windings. It was running perfectly before we stored it but I have not been able to test it in our new home as we do not have a suitable vertical wall to hang it on. Approximate dimensions are 57cms high by 31 cms wide with a depth of 13cms. The round face has a diameter of 20cms. On the back is a brass plaque with the initials HAC between a pair of crossed arrows. It was apparently made in Wurttemberg, a Germanic state which apparently ceased to exist about one hundred years ago. The brass pendulum has a slight crease in it but works fine and the clock comes with the original key. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
