LARGE RARE AMETHYST TWIN GEODE SLICE - STUNNING FIGURE EIGHT

This is a beautiful freestanding amethyst twin geode slice in a very unusual shape, it looks like a figure eight. Measurements - 49.5cm x 31.5cm x 7cm and weighs 13+ kilos. Although I am listing this item as a local collection it may be possible to arrange a delivery. £680 ono All questions welcome. Geodes are chiselled out of solid basalt rock by hand in Brazil, so they may have flaws, lines and sometimes nicks from the edges. The geodes are formed when the planet forces a mis-shaped bubble into the basalt and depending upon the composition of the minerals surrounding this, they form different shapes and colours. Amethyst is deeper purple when there is more iron oxide present. After they have been mined they are then graded, cut, levelled and the edges are polished ready for shipping.
