Large 19th Century Victorian classical roman bronzed bust statue

This is a large 19th century Victorian bust in the Roman Classical style. This is a museum quality piece and is in excellent condition with only some minor wear to the base commensurate with age. The bronze finish appears to be the original Victorian finish with the gilt possibly being a later addition. The bust measures 75 cm tall and 60 cm wide. It is made from either terracotta or plaster which has been coated or painted in a bronze and gilt effect finish. It is not signed however the quality is excellent indicating that this was made by a master. The bust has only ever been dry dusted due to the age of the piece and due to the finish this item would not be recommended for outside use and would be best placed indoors. The marble stand shown in the images is not for sale and not included in the listing. This item could be displayed either on a table or column as it is considerable lighter than the marble varieties.
