VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE ORNATE CAST IRON LARGE GARDEN LANTERN / LIGHT IN NEED OF SERIOUS RESTORATION This is a beautiful and very ornate vintage garden lantern.  It is cast in a typical Victorian design and is extremely large measuring 37 ins tall and 22 ins wide.  It is hexagon in shape with a removable ash tray at the bottom and opening door to one side.  The top finial comes off but this lantern has been in the garden for many years and has suffered although we have been using as is for many years. VICTORIAN CARVED OAK MIRROR ON CAST IRON BASE STAND, VERY RARE & UNUSUAL, c

This is a very rare and unusual carved oak mirror on cast iron base/stand. It has cast iron neck and surround to the mirror, and a thick solid oak central pole to the body. It has dimensions of 74" in height x 26" width (to the mirror), and 20" width to the cast iron base. The only real aspect of any blemish with this item is that the oak body pole leans slightly to one side - this is due to the thread where the body slots onto the base is in need of some attention, and the thread has worn down and this causes it to not slot into place as it should. The cast iron base is also slightly rusted (see pictures), but otherwise there is no further blemishes to mention, and overall it is in very good solid condition. YOU COULD EITHER PAINT IT, OR CONTINUE TO REMOVE PAINT AND POLISH THE RADIATOR, THE RADIATOR HAS VERY NICE DECORATIVE DETAILING, NO LEAKS, ETC, AND BEING CAST IRON HOLDS THE HEAT LONG AFTER THE HEATING HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF.

Antique Postage Stamp machine surround in solid Brass. Rare decorative item for philatelists.

This is the solid brass surround from an old postage stamp machine. Unfortunately the photo makes it look like a letterbox but you have to visualize it in the upright position which is how it would have been fitted. It is beautifully cast in solid brass with the word "Postage" at the top and "Stamps" at the bottom. If any of you are old enough to remember, the stamp machine itself would have taken up the centre of the space and be mounted vertically, usually in a wall or similar. Apart from when they were in use many years ago, I have never seen anything like it. A great collectors/talking point for the keen philatelist! Post and packing extra.
