These less common rugs from central Asia have wool wraps and medium cut piles. Even though made by Turkmen nomads, ironically are not belonging to a certain tribe like Tekke or Ersari, as one might think! Their distinctive look in the form of unusual geometric designs in repetitive and many narrow bands in alternating colours form borders makes them different to those of Gul or octagonal by their counterparts. This diamond design long Beshir carpet is part of this group.
