3.16 carat 18 ct Gold round brilliant solitaire ring Natural

3.16 carat 18 ct Gold round brilliant solitaire ring Natural

Single Round Brilliant Diamond Ring set in 18 carat yellow Gold. Set with 6 claws this diamond is a big one 3.16 carat in total it is natural diamond and it is not enhanced. Approximate size O I am wanting to sell this ring and will be willing to sell to the right buyer and genuine person. Colour I I bought this ring and was advised it was VS SI2 clarity I do have a certificate, but this has been disputed by me because the clarity is down as I2 & a way off colour I can only assume the jeweller see's something that I don't. However I think for the size of the diamond this is a reasonable price. since it is worth in excess of £ This is a diamond ring which needs to be seen in daylight and decision's to be made whether it floats your boat or not. This diamond is very sparkly and worthy of wearing. Located in the Tyne and Wear area of the country I bought the ring and it came with a certificate VS2 SI2 however over the years I lost it. I went to a jewellers chain of shops, and found that for a set price £100 (I can't remember exactly) they would send the ring off to a reputable company who would value the ring and diamond giving a valuation for insurance purposes. I gave 3 items to the chain of shops to be valued. I was quoted £300 (I can't remember exact amount) However the company (I can't remember their name at the moment)who assess & value the items of jewellery failed to inform the chain of shops that they had increased the cost of valuations. Not only had they stopped doing valuations for a set price but the cost was changed to a percentage of the following - 1. The size of the diamond, 2. The total cost of each valuation price would be added together and a percentage of the total amount would be the cost that had to be paid. I had requested the chain of shops inform me of the valuations amount so that I could sort out insurance prior to all 3 item's being returned. My mistake I should have kept my mouth shut. Because I had given the chain of shops 3 high value items, it meant, that they were going to be shocked. I had contacted the company who were valuating the 3 items and they stated that they had the last item (3.16ct Diamond ring) to value and since it was not my account they couldn't tell me the valuation amount over the phone regarding 2 of the jewellery items they had completed, without authorisation from the chain of shops. So me in my infinite wisdom rang themand asked them to ring the assessing company they used and get the 2 valuation amounts so I would have a fair idea of insurance coverage. The next thing was that I had an irate manager on the phone from the chain of shops who said that I was going to have to pay thousand's to get my 3 items of jewellery back along with the valuation's. The manager told me that 2 of the items' had been valued and since the last item being the 3.16 ct diamond ring (I have listed) had not been valued at that point, I was told if I wanted to continue with the valuation then I would have to pay the new prices. I went to trading standards and they advised me to contact the chain of shops via letter informing them that they had entered into a contract with me when they took the 3 jewellery items and told me a total price I was to pay to have them valued and described. I asked them to honour the agreement or I would take them to court. I went back to them and handed them the letter. I was contacted and advised that the 3 item's would be returned to me with the valuation's at the cost I had been quoted. I knew that this was too quick and when I saw the valuations' I realised but couldn't prove that the last item the 3.16 carat diamond ring, had been downgraded because I had not included the original certificate. I believe the valuation company had down graded my diamond ring within 2 colour s away from the actual certificated document (which I couldn't find and still can't locate). Two colour's different from different diamond grader's is seen to be an acceptable difference since diamond grading is not an exact science. It is deemed that if a colour or clarity is seen by one diamond grader to be I - J then another diamond grader who later assesses the same diamond would not be in too much trouble if he believed the colour was K - L because of the guidance of assessing Diamonds. So it would be better to view this diamond and realise that it is a magnificent Diamond and cheap at the price listed I am happy if genuine negotiations are put forward, but please rest assured viewing would be in a safe and protected location comfortable to both seller and potential buyer. ****************************************************** New Valuation February Diamond I (Eye) colour SI1 clarity 4.8 grams 18 ct White Gold 6 claw Tiffany Style setting 18 carat yellow Gold band Round Brilliant Diamond.
