Difficult to find, antique, metal men's pocket watch, probably from the sBrand: La Salle Express Watch Co, made in SwitzerlandThe movement sits in a clean, decorative, gold-plated case and is in clean, working condition. Only the eyelet is made of 14 kt gold. The crown and case are gold-plated. The dial is made of immaculate white enamel and has black numerals (12-hour indication), blue numerals (seconds indication: 1 through 60) andblue metal hands. 's Period Solid Silver Pocket Watch - Working Movement This beautiful 8th century large heavy solid silver pocket watch is a fine example of a working pocket watch that has stood the test of time for over 180 years. It is a key wind fusee mechanism that winds smoothly and keeps good time (Tested working - Key required) Date lettering suggests this piece being by a rather flourished letter 'N'. Similar embellished engraving of the word 'LONON' on the movement housing case can be seen and on the movement the name 'Parkinson & Co, Cornhill and serial No: can be found engraved. Stamped on the inner leaf of the outer back casing cover are the initials JH Hallmarks can be seen on the inner leaf of the inner back cover and are that of the fineness mark a lion symbol (silver) and an essay anchor symbol (Birmingham) The photos are of the actual piece and illustrate all the above including (if you look) the second hand moving and the mechanics of the watch. Antique J G Graves The "Express" Solid Silver Pocket Watch Chester Hallmark English Lever Movement The watch is is good clean and fully functioning condition - the case is good with only a few small dinks - but it is about 115 years old after all. - Quality desirable clear CHESTER Hallmarks for (A) and serial number and makers mark JGGs in a sheild cartouche and the lion passant for silver - I have only given it a minimal wind and it works nicely - hands adjust by using the wind key on the front retaining nut that holds the hands - runs a little slow but I am not going to start taking the back off the movement to adjust it.
