Kreuzwege in Münster Kinderhaus: Ein alter Kreuzweg, ein neuer Kreuzweg - beide suchen den Leidensweg von Jesus Christus zu verdeutlichen. Es gelingt auf die eine und auch auf die andere Weise. Man muss nur den richtigen Standpunkt finden, dann wird man wissen, was die Bilddarstellungen bedeuten und ausdrücken wollen. In diesem Buch wird der Versuch gestartet, alt und neu neben einander zu stellen und so dem Betrachter eine Vergleichsebene anzubieten. Es steht jedem frei, diesem Gedanken zu folgen, damit die neuen Bilder neben den alten Bilder, die der klassischen biblischen Abfolge entlehnt sind, nicht missverstanden werden. Beide Kreuzwege sind dem Leidensweg gewidmet. Im Jahre bis wurde das Leprosorium Kinderhaus von Erbmann Udo von der Tinnen errichtet, um leprakranken Bürgerinnen und Bürger der Stadt Münster einen Zufluchtsort zu geben. Als die Lepra zurück gegangen war, nutzte man dieses Gebäude als Armenhaus der Stadt. Im 14. Jahrhundert wird eine Kapelle in Kinderhaus erwähnt. wird ein Kirchenneubau beschrieben, der aber eng mit der Leprastation verbunden blieb. Auch wenn Kinderhaus einen sehr alten Siedlungsbereich vor Münster darstellte, wurde dieser nur von der Leprastation gebraucht. Erst im 19. Jahrhundert entstand eine eigene Pfarrei in Kinderhaus, die auch die örtliche Bevölkerung mit einbezog. Erste Beerdigungen fanden schon statt. Der Kreuzweg mit seinen 14 Stationen beginnt im Westen und erstreckt sich im südlichen Bereich des Friedhofs. Die einzelnen Stationen wurden in Familiengräbern einbezogen. Aufgrund seines neogotischen Charakters hat diese Kreuzweganlage ihren Ursprung Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts, die vornehmlich dem Leprosenhaus diente. Alle Grabsteine haben einen vergleichbaren, architektonischen Aufbau neogotischer Herkunft, der durch strenge Strukturen geprägt ist. Jede Station besteht aus Sandstein und steht auf einem Sockel mit einer Inschriftenplatte, auf der die begrabenen Familienmitglieder aufgeführt sind. Den oberen Bereich schließt ein steiles Satteldach ab, das an den Staffeln kleine Quergiebel ausbildet. Auf der Spitze krönt ein steinernes Kreuz. Im Giebeldreipass steht eine römische Zahl und verweist auf die Nummer der Station des Leidensweges von Jesus Christus. Die Darstellungen sind auf Reliefplatten eingelassen. Unterhalb des Reliefs befindet sich eine weitere Inschriftentafel mit den Familiennamen. Noch während des Umbaus der Kirche im Jahr gab es erste Anregungen zur Neugestaltung des Kreuzweges in der Kirche. Eine Bündelung der 14 klassischen Stationen war notwendig, um in der kleinen Kirche den Kreuzweg an sich erhalten zu können. Im Sommer wurde eine Kunstkommission eingesetzt von Pfarrer Egbert Reers, die aus fachkundigen Gemeindemitgliedern und aus externen Experten bestand. Der Entscheidungsprozess, die Kirchenfenster mit Motiven des Kreuzweges neu zu gestalten, dauerte bis bzw. . In diesem Jahr erhielt Silke Rehberg den Auftrag, ihr Projekt in Angriff zu nehmen. Ein beständiger Dialog zwischen der Künsterlin und der Gemeinde begleitete den Entscheidungs- und den Schaffensprozess. Es gab Ängste, Vorbehalte zu überwinden und immer wieder für Verständnis zu werben. Glauben ist eben eindeutig und bestimmbar. Er braucht viel Vertrauen dem anderen Menschen gegenüber, der bereit ist, eigene künstlicherische Ansichten und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten umzusetzen. Es ist ein seit 10 Jahren andauernder Prozess, der sich so lange fortsetzen wird, wie andere vor den Fenstern stehen und sich fragen, was die Bilder ausdrücken mögen. Aber das allein ist schon der erste Schritt, dem Kreuzweggedanken zu folgen. Sieben Fensterbilder als Stationen sind eine gelungene Grundlage für einen Kreuzweg, der sicher in früheren Zeiten große Beachtung gefunden hätte. Die Zahl Sieben ist seit jeher eine mystische göttlich betonte Zahl, die ihren Niederschlag in der Woche mit ihren sieben Tagen gefunden hat, die heute unser Alltagsleben maßgeblich bestimmt. Es lohnt, diesen Bild-Momenten zu folgen und sich durch das durchfallende Licht inspirieren zu lassen.
