KEF Concord IV Floor Standing Loudspeakers in FWO/ VGC
KEF Concord IV is a free-standing loudspeaker system incorporating many features resulting from KEFās programme of advanced research and development. Concord IV offers precise and stable stereo reproduction for the serious listener together with ample volume for the most extreme domestic use. A maximum acoustic output of 107dB spl can be obtained on programme peaks. Concord IV Features: High power handling capacity: 100 watts per channel. As loudspeaker specialists, KEF concentrate on the design and production of high fidelity loudspeakers, and have employed the latest computer aided analysis techniques to develop Concord IV. With and amplifier output of as little as 10 watts per channel, Concorde IV will produce more than enough volume to fill a generous sized room. With larger amplifiers, considerably louder volume levels can be achieved whilst maintaining realistic tonal quality. Concord IV is a medium-sized (38 litres) loudspeaker system combining a 25mm soft dome tweeter with two 200mm bass units to give extended bass performance down to 40Hz. The two identical bass units are arranged to work together over the lower part of the frequency range ensuring reduced distortion and remarkable power handling capability. To obtain an even distribution of sound a new filter system progressively reduces the output of the lower bass unit above 200Hz. At crossover frequency only one bass unit is operating with the tweeter. To allow the sound to reach the listener directly without troublesome reflections from walls, floor ceiling the drive units are arranged within the enclosure so that the full frequency response is enjoyed when the loudspeakers are positioned between 9ā and 12ā from the floor.
