For sale vintage and rare late 60's,early 70's Kay K-2B SG style short scale bass guitar with Gibson shape headstock,in nice Sunburst Colour.This great looking and sounding bass has straight neck,low action,frets are ok.All electronics works as they should.There are some dents,scratches and lacquer checking,especially at the back of the neck(see photos).Hardware it's a bit rusty,but overall is in good vintage condition for 40 years old guitar,and 100% original.Bridge ashtray cover is missing.Has just been restrung Comes with gig bag. I've tried to capture as much of this as I can in the pictures. I think a previous owner removed the neck pickup and crafted a new pickguard and control setup. Jazz bass guitar - just needs a little electrical TLC I bought this as a project some months ago but just do not have the electrical skill to do it. It's actually a real quality Japanese-made bass in a lovely nutty sunburst colour. Comfortable maple neck with rosewood fretboard and large pearloid inlays.It works and gives out a lovely growly bass tone. The only thing is that someone has, at some time, wired it up a wrong as not all the knobs/pots are firing as they should. Just needs rewiring of the pots.
