Kask’s Vertigo road helmet was specifically designed and developed for racing purposes. The result..? A helmet that’s incredibly secure, well ventilated, and with brilliant aerodynamics. As well proving itself to be very practical, it also provides exceptional levels of comfort and fit. The helmet features an EPS (Extended Polystyrene) shell. This helps to improve the effects that occur upon impact as the material is fantastic at absorbing shock. Thanks to the in-moulding technology used, whereby the inner polystyrene cap is joined to the outer shell of polycarbonate, the helmet is even more capable of absorbing shocks. All of Kask’s helmets feature their MIT technology which provides greater security and complete protection, thanks to the polycarbonate cover on top of the cap and the base and back. One of the ways in which Kask ensure you’re able to find the best, most comfortable fit for you is with the use of their ‘Up and Down’ adjustment system. This innovative system ensures a precise fit as you’re able to adjust 3 aspects of the helmet simultaneously; vertical, horizontal, and inclination. A central wheel and two side flaps allow the adjustment of the helmet in fact not only in width but also in height and tilt. This system is enhanced through the use of an inner surface gel-slip – it’s anti-bacterial and anti-allergenic too which is always welcome.  You can further improve the fit of the helmet by adjusting the chin strap. The strap is made using hypoallergenic faux leather, ensuring it feels comfortable against the skin and won’t cause any irritation, no matter how sensitive your skin may be.  The interior of the helmet is both removable and washable so you are able to keep it as hygienic as possible in between rides. It’s made using Coolmax fabric which is best known for its moisture wicking properties. This is a process in which moisture from the body is taken and transferred to the outside of the fabric in order to evaporate faster, leaving you cool, dry, and comfortable in the process. There’s also an inner surface of gel-slip which is both anti-allergenic and anti-bacterial. As previously stated, the helmet is incredibly well ventilated; this is thanks, in part, to the 24 vents that are in the helmet. These particular vents are arranged in an aerodynamic structure which means you get the best of both worlds – ventilation and great aerodynamics. Further ventilation comes from the soft thermoformed PVC spacers; these come into contact with the skin, providing excellent ventilation and comfort as they do so. To provide extra safety and visibility in low light conditions, Kask have used reflective stickers on the helmet.
