I have decided to sell my JRC 525 general coverage HF receiver. It is in near mint condition with no modifications. I can see no scratches or marks I doubt you will find a better example of this top end radio. It works fantastic and by far the nicest bit of Ham kit I've had. One previous silent key operator but I doubt if its had any use as all. I collected from his son in Birmingham but since I've had it its stayed in its original box. This is a top end receiver. I now have another hobby so time to sell. Non smoking home. I am happy to post as its in its original packing but that will go inside a second box. I also have a JRC matching speaker I can sell separately if interested. Any inspection welcome or get a friend to look on your behalf if local. I am a licenced amateur. Below is a full description - all the ins and outs! I have reduced the price as the casing is no longer black black as sun has slightly faded it - it dont affect the item from working its all in full working order and belonged to my late Mother who had a passion for this. I had it fully PAC Electrical Tested approx 4 weeks ago and have the pass certificate showing no issues NRD-535 affords general coverage reception from 90 to kHz in AM, USB, LSB, CW, RTTY, FAX and narrow FM modes. A triple conversion superheterodyne circuit is employed to provide superb sensitivity and image rejection. Japan Radio has designed a special high-speed 1 Hz step PLL synthesizer to provide you with 1 Hz tuning resolution never before available. Display resolution is 10 Hz via a gorgeous display. A sophisticated 200 channel non-volatile scanning memory stores frequency, mode, AGC, ATT and IF filter selection. Channels can be scanned at a user-defined rate (.5 to 5 seconds/channel). Sweep reception can be adjusted from.05 to.5 seconds/step. Japan Radio's reputation for extreme stability continues with only 2 PPM drift (after 1 hour) making the NRD-535 the inevitable choice for the demanding non-voice modes such as Morse code, RTTY and FAX. filled.
