Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass

Crafted in Japan with a Q serial number it is dated . The Bass is in good condition for its age although there are some little dents and surface scratches on the body that cannot really be picked up on the photos or are really noticeable unless close up. There was a chip on the rear top edge that could not, in any event, be seen from the front and now I have camouflaged it with black nail varnish is hardly noticeable. I have tried to photograph it. The neck is typically jazz width and is very fast. There is very little, if any, fret wear as when I bought the bass the strings were black nylon covered and I believe this has mitigated any wear. However I recently put on some D’Addario Pro Steels, which I prefer. With a mix of precision and jazz pickups you have the best of both worlds with precision sounds and with the bridge pick up that jazz rasp. Light weight at 8.6Ib and very comfortable to play. Currently priced new at around £ I am asking for £500 which seems to be the going rate or a trade for a Yamaha x or a Gibson EB . But you may be able to tempt me with other trades with cash either way. Mexican Fender Jazz Bass in a sunburst colour, was bought for £695 new, a few years ago. It comes with locking/bolts, fender strap, and a soft case although these may need replacing. Was serviced fairly recently with new strings but it just sits there unplayed (since I now play a '69 music master fender). Cash on collection preferred over BACS if possible. Genuine Fender USA Jazz Bass body for sale. This body is solid alder and was manufactured at the Corona plant in October . It is compatible with any electronic hardware and/or necks from all Fender or Squier Jazz basses that have been made in any of Fender's plants worldwide. There are a few light scratches and rub marks but no dents or dings so it could be finished in any colour you like, including natural wood. More importantly, it has through-body stringing so would allow you to convert your Mexican Fender or Squier Jazz Bass to that specification.
