Yamaha SG700S Made in Japan
For sale is this high quality Yamaha SG700S guitar, made in Japan. As with any guitar of this age, it has some minor chips to the lacquer on the headstock, body edge and one mark on the guitar front which hasn’t shown up in the photos. It has a solid mahogany body, glued-in neck with attractive pearl block inlays and a pair of powerful Alnico V humbuckers rich in depth, sustain and cut-through. In addition to the three-way selector, each pickup can be coil split, giving a total of no fewer than eight different, high-quality sounds. It has great resonance, sounding like a semi acoustic and the pickups have a very warm vintage sound. I’ve used it for all types of music from clean jazz, touch sensitive blues, funk, reggae and full on rock, and it covers all with ease, and it has a quality of sound that cuts through the band. If you’d like to see/hear it in action please message me for some links.
