Collie x Irish Red & White Setter 1yr 3mths Neutered Male

Max is a gorgeous, good natured dog who is amazing with children and friendly with other dogs. In fact, he loves nothing better than a good play. So why are we re-homing him? This is a heart-breaking decision and my children are devastated. But it is what is best for Max right now. I have 2 children and 2 jobs and simply no longer have the time to train him properly and give him the attention and exercise he needs. And he does need it! He gets around 2 hours walks a day and also spends most of the day in the garden. Due to his breed, he has unbelievable energy and is also intelligent and needs lots of stimulation. He would greatly benefit from a home with another dog or someone who is around a lot. Also from professional training and could become very good at agility. He is not suitable for someone who will leave him alone all day to go out to work. Without the right amount of exercise and attention he will become agitated and this can result in barking, digging and chewing. He is great with kids and I have no hesitation recommending him to a family. Likewise, he is great with other dogs and just wants to play. A lot! He is large but still a pup and sometimes this gets forgotten. So he will mean work for someone. I do not want to put anyone off but I do want someone 100% suitable for him. Please can you let me know what your circumstances are and what kind of home you could offer our Max. The reason for the £350 price tag is that we want someone who really, really wants him. Not someone who simply likes the look of him. Experience with collies would be a benefit. Nellie is a 9month Irish Red Setter. She is a beautiful family pet but requires a lot more attention, preferably someone with her throughout the day. She has earned her kennel club good citizens bronze award and is very responsive on and off lead. We have had no issues with lead work or training. She is crate trained but can have the odd mishap when left alone. She is KC registered and up to date with vaccinations. Only very serious enquiries will be responded too. Someone with experience with setters are most preferred but exceptions can be made for experience with spaniels. She is very good with children and other dogs, but is very excitable and energetic.
