iOptron SkyTracker is a camera mount is the perfect accessory for astrophotography. This portable mount makes it easy to take long exposures of the night sky without streaking or star trailing. Simply attach your camera to the front and turn on. The mount's slow-motion motors keep your camera tracking as the Earth rotates for beautiful images of the night sky. The SkyTracker mount runs on 4AA batteries for portability at any location. Now you can take photos of the night sky like never before! Note: the first time I used the unit I managed to break a small plastic clip on the battery compartment cover, I have used a couple of velcro straps to secure, this does not impact on the performance in anyway and seems to be a problem with US made AA battery compartments which are very tight fitting. This is a great unit, it is very simple to use and easy to align with either a free or paid Pro App to give a precise alignment. Following on from my previous successful workshops, my next one is now available for booking on my Web site: PHOTOSHOP ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY IMAGE PROCESSING SATURDAY AUGUST 5TH - Chelveston Village Hall, Northamptonshire. Learn how to use the tools in Photoshop to get the very best out of your astronomy images after stacking. These include, curves, levels, layers, Layer masking and saturation to deal with problems with light pollution and bring your astrophotography to life. The workshop will also introduce you to some of the Photoshop plug-ins I consider essential to achieve the very best result and how to write Actions to deal with repetitive tasks. Bring in your own stacked images to work on. If you cannot bring in images, I will be providing some of my own for you to practice the techniques shown and for you to take away after the day to continue practising your skills. To make the most of the day, it is essential that you bring along a laptop with a running copy of Photoshop for the hands-on elements of this workshop.
