Hi all, I've got absolutely loads of what I believe to be black bamboo growing in my garden that I don't want. Id been trying to remove it myself and scrap it but whilst reading a wiki how article on how best to approach this I saw someone suggested advertising it on here for someone to take. Happy to give this away for free however whoever takes it needs to be able to dig it up and bring the tools (spade or whatever) to do so. Happy for someone to take any amount of it, obviously if you could take it all that would be great. If I don't get any responses I'll just return to trying to chop it down and scrap it again. Now is an ideal time to plant any bamboo for screening. The plants will establish themselves and then produce lots of new shoot and foliage early next year. Phyllostachys Bissetii is a fast growing, hardy, evergreen clump forming bamboo that is reputedly the best bamboo for forming a dense screen. The canes are dark green and will reach 5 meter high. The ideal spacing is 2 meters apart. The plants that I have are between 2 and 3 meters tall. £25 each and no offers as these are very reasonably priced. Collection only from Hamilton.
