The way it is knotted and the diversity in patterns make this rug unique and emphasize its authentic and traditional character.Bidjar is located in the west of Iran.Bidjars are designed both with and without medallions, this is called a Herati pattern.The Bidjar is made of high-quality wool on a cotton warp, they are often thick and compact rugs with the pile almost pointing straight up. This is why Bidjar rugs are excellent for regular use and have an extremely long lifespan.In later years, Bidjars were also made in India, these rugs are called Indo Bidjars.
