Hoof Shape Poultice HOT HOOF POULTICE Trim the poultice to size and place the poultice in boiled water and allow it to cool down to touch. Once saturated, remove the dressing and gently squeeze out the excess water. Place the poultice on effected area and the plastic backing away from the hoof. Keep the poultice in place with a cohesive bandage. Please Read Caution below. COLD HOOF POULTICE Trim the poultice to size and place the poultice in boiled water and then allow to cool thoroughly. Once saturated, remove the dressing and gently squeeze out the excess water. The poultice can be chilled further, by placing it in its outer plastic bag in a refrigerator.
