There is resistance when pulling on the scale and they spring back to position so I assume they are working correctly. I do not know much about them. Might be a bargain for someone. Antique shop scales with brass goods and weights pans. Mounted on a wooden base with levelling feet. 21 in wide x 10 in deep x 18 in high. Probably used in a tobacconist's shop. Made by Avery of Birmingham. One side is in good condition with wear commensurate with its age. The other side has suffered from bleaching, probably being stood in a shop window, and has marks due to sellotape. Otherwise appears to be in good working condition.
