Hughes and Kettner statesman dual el84 amplifier for sale in Bournemouth Dorset. Like new condition. Pedal and Amp Cover included. This is the Statesman amp series from Hughes and Kettner. These amps have a polished bluesy rock quality to them. These are not the super high gainers that most of there amps lean towards. These amps have a mild voicing for classic rock and blues based music. It is a 20 watt amp that has a spring reverb unit inside and three band EQ. If you play classic rock or just need an amp with a good overdrive but not a hot rod tone then this is a great amp to have. This amp is the same as the Quad version but with only 2 El84 power tubes. The wattage will be lowered to 20 watts rather than 40 so you'll have less headroom but more crunch without having to turn the amp up louder. This is the exact same amp as the black standard tolex but just in a nice oxblood tolex covering. You get the same great tone and features but just in a more suitable cosmetic up grade. I absolutely love this amp. It is in immaculate condition, purchased it from New and mostly used it at home but only gigged with it 3 times. It's a very LOUD amp! The loudest I have played this was with its volume set at 2 o'clock. This is one amp that does it all, from absolute crystal clean to the most beautiful distortion you have ever heard. The dynamic response while you play is incredible, simply a great amp. The valves are all original and in Perfect condition. It comes with the original slip on cover and the original foot switch. I am forced to sell my fantastic all Valve amp as I can no longer lift this kind of weight (unfortunately had to go the FRFR way, with my Pod), and for lack of space. The amp has always been stored indoors in a non smoking and pet free home. Let me know if you require any more information about this amp. A highly rated but rare Hughes & Kettner 100 watt guitar combo. A few little scuffs but nothing superficial. classic H&K brushed aluminum and black vinyl, with a business-like front panel revealing four independent channels plus a good range of plugging options on the back-plate. The Clean channel gets stand-alone volume, bass, mid and treble controls, while the Crunch, Lead and Warp channels must all share one set of bass, mid and treble EQ controls. This is forgivable in the context of the amp remaining simple and affordable. The Crunch channel has gain and volume controls, while the Lead and Warp channels share a single gain control but get separate volumes. On the far right is a Master Volume which, when nudged around in a clockwise manner, reveals a very grunt'y little unit. The faceplate says 100 watts, but unscrewing the back panel of the closed cabinet revealed a single 12" Celestion Rock Driver Ultra rated at 100 watts, so that output rating sounds a little ambitious in RMS terms. The backplate features jack sockets for an extra 8 ohm speaker, headphones, a line out, a CD/Line input for jamming to your fave CDs, FX return and send, plus an on/off switch for the FX foot switch and foot switch socket. I'm selling one of the best amps I've ever owned. It has a great sound and very powerful for its size. It is compact and light weight. The tubemiester has 3 channels, Clean, Crunch, and Lead. All foot switchable. I do have a a footswitch I used for the amp but it is a Marshall one. If you want it just ask. Other features include; Midi in, fx loop, reverb, The Famous Red Box and power soak. Power soak is a function to cut the power from 36W 18W 5W 1W or mute ideal for recording. It will take 8-16 ohm impedance speakers. I'm selling due as my late father has left me his amps and I no longer require it. I'm sorry to let it got but I can't use 5 amps at once!
