Lovecraft. Very imaginative weird fiction. Features the fantastic tales of a very unreliable narrator. - Lewis Mumford - The Story of Utopias - Excellent overview and history of utopias - Julian Hawthorne - Real Magic - True weird tales - Shows real life is more bizarre than fiction - Edward Whittemore - Quin's Shanghai Circus - Post-modern novel compared to the likes of Gravity's Rainbow - Barbara O'Brien - Operators and Things - True account of a schizophrenic who goes on a road trip under a series of hallucinations that are a parable of the modern world. Incredible game-structure delusion of reality. I am fascinated by this book, and I'm pretty sure it's almost completely unknown. + THREE MYSTERY BOOKS that I have not listed here. They are similar in genre and also eclectic. There should be an element of surprise.
