Rider/owner works stupid hours during the week and needs someone to do the roadwork three days a week starting after Christmas. Later on to hack over to the gallops and do the canter work mid week. No schooling. Days usually Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday three hours a day in total. No weekends. Might suit someone with their own event horses. Looking for a horse to join our little herd! Must be: - safe/sane - 15h2 upwards (if around 15h1-3 must be stocky) - mare or gelding, but can not be dominant, as our older big boy is the alpha male & looses weight if he is stressed by another - field manners a must, as our fields are large & so too is being dog friendly! - non food aggressive as our old boy is fed through out the year - non fizzy - will still be the same if left a week (generally schooled if we are unable to ride!) - experienced in woods, open fields, country lane rides with farm machinery - ability to go out alone a bonus, but not a necessity as we mostly go in pairs or four - barefoot a huge bonus but not essential! - must be able to live out 24/7 with relevant rugs/feed An experienced forever home awaits, especially in older horses & bringing back into work. Would be joining 2 geldings (1 older giant & the other an 8yr old gentle project boy) & a mare (who likes to lead on a ride, but is submissive in the field.)
