We have some lovely ponies for adoption. we have a 12.2hh pretty grey mare who is just stunning. As with all the ponies we have for adoption we feel she would be better in a one to one home as she has so much life in her and just loves to be out and about. We do not know her riding history but we have bridled her saddled her and had children sit on her and she was as good as gold. she has lovely manners and would make someone a happy little pony. we also have a 12 year old minature shetland who is absolutely gorgeous and just loves to be around people. he was a show pony and won many prizes in his time. he would make a wonderful companion or in hand showing. again perfect manners. we also have a two year old filly who is jet black and probably a standard shetland or cross. she would make a wonderful companion or would sweep up in hand as she is just beautiful and in lovely condition. we only want VERY experienced homes for these ponies and five star homes as each of them have had a bad past so deserve only the best. We also are desperately needing a retirement home for a Connemara pony. She is around 20 years old and needs some one to one home comforts.. She would make a wonderful companion as she doesnt make a fuss at all if she is left in the field on her own. there will be home checks and adoption fees except for The older Connemara as we would be so grateful if someone could offer her a chance and some comfort before winter sets in. please call for more info. no emails. Swiftwood Sanctuary is looking for an adoptive home for Phantom. He is approximately 16.3hh and around 20 years old. We took him in last year after his hunting days became too much for him. We have since had him diagnosed by the vet as having shivers. The vet has said there is no reason alone why he can't enjoy hacks and will in fact do him good. So we are tentatively putting this advert out to see if there is anyone around suitable. He can live out as long as he is rugged but I'm sure he wouldn't say no to a stable over night either. He has been a wonderful horse in his time by all accounts and has taken many novice riders to the next level. But due to his shivers he can only be walked out on hacks. But we feel here at the sanctuary he is quite bored and has some life left in him yet if there is anyone out there looking for a quiet hack and a lovely friend Phantom is your man. He can live out as long as he is rugged and he has a good purpose built dry shelter but I'm sure he wouldn't say no to a stable over night either. He has been a wonderful horse in his time by all accounts. But we feel here at the sanctuary he is quite bored and has some life left in him yet if there is anyone out there looking for a quiet hack around the block and a lovely friend Phantom is your man.
