5* LOVING HOME AWAITS FIRST PONY in Motherwell

on behalf of a client I am looking for a first pony between 13.3 and 14.2. Breed and gender not important, nothing under 8 years old and absolutely no youngsters ! The pony will be a mother daughter share for a very petite mother and her two daughters. Nothing under 13.3 as the oldest daughter is tall for her age and nothing over 14.2 as the youngest is tiny with little legs ! All of the riders are very novice, however the pony will be going to a 5* very loving home in cleland (Motherwell) with an on site freelance advanced competition trainer & riding school coach who will be teaching the kids twice a week being myself.i will also keep the pony schooled and ticking over until the kids are confident and experienced enough to come off of lead rein as I am 5ft 2 and 8 1/2 stone. Nothing too fine, been there done that schoolmaster type with plenty of experience looking after its rider and giving confidence. Must be suitable both on and off of lead rein! Nothing sharp, more forward than average and nothing cheeky under saddle but at the same time fun, full of personality and a love of being pampered! For Sale. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this advert. Brook (Erray Burdock) is 5 years old, 14hh and I have owned her for 2 years. I bought her as an unhandled 3 year old direct from Erray Highland Ponies. Brook has been very much my baby, being the first pony I have brought on from scratch and her wonderful temperament has made it a very easy process. Brook is a very easy, straight forward pony, she turns out with mares or geldings and doesn’t mind being left on her own, she will happily be stabled if needs be and is not at all mareish. She is a lovely, gentle girl who is easy to catch, good with the farrier and vet, to bath, load and travel but she has never been clipped. Brook was backed in spring and spent the year hacking out from home, mainly on her own. She has also been out to several clinics and lessons and been in group lessons indoors & out. She has also trailered out to meet others for hacks and recently qualified for Blair Novice Ridden. She is very easy to take to shows and has had lovely positive comments from judges. Brook is good with lighter traffic when on her own but needs the reassurance of another horse with her to cope with heavy traffic. She is used to quads and tractors but to hack any distance I have to go on busy roads which is the only reason I am parting with her as I don’t have anyone to ride with & I have an older pony who is great in any traffic. In company she has been through villages and also over a level crossing when the barriers came down and she didn’t bat an eyelid. She is a responsive ride but not strong or overly forward going, she has never bucked, reared or done anything under saddle to worry me at all and I am not the most confident. Brook has never been sick or sorry and has no sign of sweet itch. Due to her age she is still green in the school but is a lovely, quiet and genuine pony. She has lovely, free movement and is straight and correct. Brook is extremely special to me and will only go to the right home, this is an extremely hard decision, genuine easy ponies like her do not come along often.
