Thesis Proofreading by Oxford PhD in Camden
I'm a doctoral candidate (DPhil / PhD) at the University of Oxford whose work sits at the intersection of law and political theory. I recently finished writing my doctoral thesis and am now on the market for an academic position. On the side, I've been proofreading and editing for more than fifteen years for every discipline and subject area. I am also happy to provide research and writing assistance--for example, with postgraduate applications, proposals, legal documents, and corporate texts. In the past, I worked as a proofreader and editor for Oxford University Press and have also been an editorial assistant for a number of academic journals. Furthermore, I have helped numerous undergraduates, postgraduates, and established academics with assignments, essays, and book projects. My editing and proofreading services can be tailored to fit any writer, but I specialize in theses and dissertations. Please don't hesitate to get in touch for further information about me, including my institutional e-mail address and website, academic (peer-reviewed) publications in law and philosophy, published acknowledgments of my work by established academics, and detailed rates. A brief summary of the proofreading and editorial services I provide: Academic editing Dissertation and thesis editing Formatting (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, OSCOLA, etc.) Legal and corporate editing Research and editorial assistance Assistance with postgraduate applications, CVs, etc. Assistance with medical residency applications The proofreading / editing process is exceptionally thorough. I begin by reading the text as a whole to check for things like logic, organization, coherence, and cogency. The second round of work is more fine-grained, and I try to focus on the mechanical elements of writing, like grammar, structure, phrasing, word choice, etc. Further, I work as part of an editorial collective called Editing Press (www.editing.press), and would be happy to bring on a second editor if you think that that would be helpful to your work. Thank you for reading and all the very best with your writing.
