hh ISH Gelding - Experienced Rider Project

hh 8yo ISH Gelding for sale to experienced rider only. Rocky was purchased for a novice rider however did not turn out to be a novice ride. He never bucks/rears/bolts and is an absolute sweetheart to handle on the ground. Has done dressage jumping and hunting in the past to my knowledge. He will hack anywhere in the heaviest of traffic, alone or in company and is in no way nappy or difficult. Rocky is a genuinely lovely natured boy, who it would appear has just been in the wrong hands until he came to me, in rather a bad condition. Although he has absolutely no malice he needs re-schooling as had obviously become confused about what a rider expected from him. We have started the re-schooling process and he has been in the Pessoa, and allowed to gain some weight in the field and generally have a nice time of it while he gets some condition on for the past few months. He is now back under saddle and can go nicely in walk trot and canter, he has an arm-chair canter and will make someone who will just put that bit of time into him for a few weeks, a fabulous horse. He is priced to sell bearing this in mind, open to offers near his asking price, but I will only sell to a knowledgable home, I have had a vet investigation into him to ensure he is tickety-boo and he has no physical problems. I am happy to discuss his journey openly and honestly with any one as I now want him to go to the right home and would love to keep in touch. Stunning hh ISH gelding

I'm considering making the heart breaking decision to sell my lovely boy. I've had Dallas for 18 months and I love him dearly, but unfortunately I don't have the time or facilities to keep his education going. He is lovely to school and is keen to please, he is green but a fast learner with a lovely work ethic. He has all the basics and is quite flashy. To hack in company he is no problem and is great with traffic. To hack alone he is quite nervous and babyish, I think he plays on my nerves a little and takes the mick abit. Dallas needs someone who won't let him walk over them like he does a little with me. He's been in pro yards and behaved like a pussycat but he takes advantage of my nerves in some situations. He has real potential but I'm not sure it's with me that he'll unleash that potential and it's such a shame to see him wasted as a field ornament. He isn't in full ridden work, but this would take no time at all. I have hacked him alone recently after not being ridden for so long and he was fine but I almost convince myself he will misbehave so I just don't enjoy riding him anymore. He has never actually done anything for me to feel this way but he can be sharp and makes me uneasy and this is only when hacking alone. I'm in no massive hurry to sell and would much rather ensure he is in the forever home that I unfortunately couldn't give him. He is open to vetting as I had a 5 stage when I got him. Seaview Jamie was imported from Ireland by ourselves, hacked out in heavy traffic farm machinery etc and wasn't phased she was jumped in the school over fillers etc she enjoys jumping and is keen around the jumps she was ridden nicely in an outline in the school she holds herself in a natural outline and is responsive to the leg. she is good to shoe and catch and box, she is being advertised as a project for the following reasons: she needs patience with putting her bridle on we had her checked out and she had a trapped muscle in her neck so after seeing physio was put out to field you can get her bridle on as we have many times to ride her she just needs to gain trust around her head, she recently showed signs of sweetitch at first we thought it was the other horse chewing her maine but now think it may have been sweet itch its starting to grow in where was chewed nicely. this horse is stunning and has a coat like a mirror she will make someone a lovely horse with us not having her in work she is advertised for a lot less than we bought her for and transport costs from Ireland Good Knowledgeable Home required if you have time to work with her you have got yourself a stunning horse. Lovely hh, 19 year old cob gelding. Very kind, great manners on the ground, will load into anything. ISH Gelding

**All photos were taken today** Henry is a 9 year old Irish Sports Horse gelding, grandson of Cruising, standing 16hh. I've owner Henry for just over a year now, and I can honestly say I haven't had any bad experiences with him. When I bought Henry I was told that he had a very bad habit of rearing. Over the year that I've had him, he never reared with me. He reared 3 times during the year I've had him, but he never out anyone in danger. The first time was due to badly fitted tack, second was excitement on a hunt and the last time he reared was due to him lacking confidence while jumping. With his old owners he used to jump 1m30 easily, but when he arriver to us he was scared to walk over a pole on the ground and terrified of crops. We worked hard with Henry throughout this year, and now he's jumping 3 foot cross poles from trot, and is fine with crops. He proved to have the potential to go higher, but he would benefit from an experienced rider who's got the time to produce him. Henry hunted with his old owners, but he wasn't fit enough to hunt with me. For the past year we worked on putting more weight and muscle on him. Henry a very sensible horse to hack, but he is forward. He prefers to hack in company, and does try and nap on his own. Henry's now ready to move on and find his forever home. Henry would be an ideal horse for someone who wants an easy project to bring on his jumping potentials, of would excel in schooling, dressage, hunting and hacking. He's got a very soft mouth, so will need someone with soft hands. He's ridden in a happy mouth three ring gag, but gets upset if the rider pulls too much on his mouth. He is not a complete novice ride due to him being forward hacking, and lacking confidence jumping. He's easy to: -load on trailer or lorry -clip -pull mane -farrier -have teeth done -do flat work with -handle(been handled by a 3 year old) Henry's up to date with his teeth, back and shoes.
