Fabulous 17 year old safest of ponies for a budding jockey ready to leave LR. Roberta (Bertie) is a gem first ridden pony. She has brought my then 7 year old on so much. Sadly now she is outgrown. She would suit any child aged 4-7 years who is ready to have a safe pony to help them progress. She’s careful and kind. Looks after her rider. Attended rallies regularly and Pony Club Camps. Ridden in a variety of settings, cross country, hacks, arena and open spaces. Will go out alone or with others and likes being out and about. Lives on a farm so used to noise, heavy machinery and livestock. Lives mainly out and easy to care for. Not a pony who likes a lot of fuss but so genuine to own. Loads easily by my 8 year old. Good with farrier. Up to date will all immunisations and teeth. Canters just off the leg but does not race away. Jumps up to 45 cm but reluctant to go higher. A wise girl who takes care of a little jockey. References available from regular instructor and DC. Needs to go to a home with other equines as loves company. She will not be sold unless she has an equine friend. Price includes, saddle, bridle and rugs, One in a million and hard to find. 13.hh Perfect First Pony in Richmond

Biscuit is an 8 year old blue and white mare. Biscuit is a first pony for someone who wants to hack, pop a small course of fences, do mini one day events and maybe even a little bit of hunting. Biscuit is a 110% in all traffic, hacks alone or in company. Never strong or silly. Hunted with the Zetland and had manners to die for. Jumped a small course of 65cm with fillers and had no problems. Biscuit would do a lovely dressage test as she has three active paces. Up to date with vacs, teeth etc. Good to shoe, box etc. Biscuit is just a complete confidence giver and a lot of fun to own.

11.2 hh lead rein, first or second pony

11.2 hh 11yo Grey (some of the time) Welsh Section A Gelding - Striker Striker is a cherub. He will happily do the lead rein bit with the wobbly just starting off riders. He will hack up the lanes unfazed by any cars, vans, bikes, tractors coming past, and he will happily stand and wait for traffic to pass. He will go round and round and round a schooling area, walking over poles and weaving around cones. Striker has a sweet little trot and a nice rhythmic canter with the sweetest little pop over a small jump, which he will happily do on the lead or off. He has been across wide open fields and down woodlands and little foresty areas and he's impeccably behaved, standing and waiting for gates to be opened without getting fidgety. He has been put to harness and pulled a little cart before we owned him, however this is not something we have done with him. Striker will happily do the circuits on the lead rein with a 3 year old or step up for a more able jockey, happily carrying 8 stone with a 5'5 rider. Striker has the presence, movement and the look to excel in the show ring, however I wouldn't recommend this as his forte as he also has the hygiene and cleanliness of a wart hog !!! This little boy has given my nieces some lovely times and helped build their confidence in the saddle and on the ground but the winter has it's way of showing the enthusiastic jockeys from the fair weather fairies. I'm looking for a 13 to 14.2hh pony that is very good to do in all ways. Needs to be good with traffic, especially tractors. I would like a lovely safe pony to hack and jump on, I may also try to go to local shows. I have had experience with bucks and bolts and know how to handle some situations. I have reliable friends and neighbors who have ponies so if I need help with anything they can help me, my dad has also had many ponies in the past when he was a child so he also knows what he's doing. I know how to care for ponies as I have helped my friends out when I have ridden with them and I used to read about horses all the time in books and horsey magazines. Wanted - quiet hh pony in Penarth

I'm looking to find a pony for my daughter who will be 11 shortly. This pony must be quiet and have no vices etc, My daughter is confident in walk and trot and has just stated cantering and jumping however both my horses are unsuitable for her to independently ride.
