Firstly, no breeders, dealers, pet shops, young families, charity offers of a home, or price negotiators or offers of a free home, or payment in instalments... Gorgeous cockatoo hen, she's a triton. She's approximately 14 years old. Her leg ring had to be cut off after a freak accident. She fell off her perch when startled and her leg got caught, a chap visiting to repair the boiler helped me free her leg, but it swelled quickly and the ring was cut off to prevent any damage, which there is none. She's a sweet, soppy, silly tame bird. She's noisy, opinionated and messy. She demands attention and will quite literally climb on you when it's cuddle time, and lives having her head under your neck. She was formerly a mans bird, my dad took her on, and I took her care on when my dad passed away. She's very much bonded to me (a female) but still quite happy to climb on and accept fuss from my male partner. It's anyone's guess if she would now bond with a male or female! She has taken a dislike to my mum and will chase after and attack. She has no fear of cats or dogs, but has never lived with small children. She needs a home with someone that has the time for her to come out of her cage more than she's in it. I've struggled for the past year to find time for this, and although she has all she needs, she doesn't get as much time and attention as she used to. She will come with her cage and toys. Read More

Silkie Hen and Cockerel looking for a loving home

Lovely young Silkie Bantam hen and cockerel looking for a new home. These two have been with me from being 3 days old and they have been used for animal handling workshops in school, care homes etc. They are friendly, confident and very tame. They are happy to be handled and will sit on your lap for a cuddle! They are great with kids, get on fine with my rabbits and guinea pigs and are unafraid of dogs. They would make great family pets for someone in a more rural setting than me. I will be very sad to see them go, but cockerel, Cloud is getting louder and I don't think my neighbours appreciate him! They are used to being in a coop at night and when I am out, but love to free range when I am around. They will need shelter as they don't like the rain, but don't fly so they are easy to contain. She has an unbelievably good temperament and will very happily be played with and handled.
