I am looking forbthw impossible it seems. I would like a competent light weight late teen or adult looking to ride to get in touch with me. I have a lovely tb and a smart 14.3 cob that needs starting. The thoroubred isn't straight forward she's a typical type tb who needs a careful kind rider.. she's not nasty but she's sensitive and needs lots of love and encouragement so no smackers and shouters! The cob is a rescue.. we have owned him now for 3 years and he is a beauty! He needs starting and playing with. help with backing youngster/ other riding help

Hello, I need help to get my percheron x (medium weight) backed and riding on. She turned 5 beginning Sept, has had very little done with her, and was pretty much unhandled before I bought her a few months ago. I'll health has hindered me somewhat and am not going to be able to back her myself, as i have just had a hysterectomy and wont be able to ride until after Christmas. I also have a moorland cob X mare, who is an absolute star, who needs a rider. She's easy and fun, enjoys hacking about, safe in traffic; but unfit and now has no rider. I rebacked her in the spring, and other than a little jig when she falls into canter doesn't put a foot wrong. She's a very lovely girl, pictured above with my nine yr old son, who is a total novice, and he handles her, puts her rugs on, and plods up our lane. In return for riding I'm looking for someone to poo pick 3 horses, help with haynets, waters etc. Tack cleaning and help with a bit of ragwort picking when it needs doing. Duties to be done on the days you ride but must be able to commit to doing duties on the days arranged even if you don't ride. Also help with evening feed once a week. I have 3 mares that can be ridden. 2 that need bringing back into work. This would be mainly hacking with the odd schooling session. Possible trips out to beach etc. Must be a capable, confident rider under 9 1/2 stone. FORWARD HACKER FOR COMPETENT NOVICE

This boy is a fantastic hack forward going with great presence and enjoys his long hacks. He has great snaffle breaks. Can have a look at things but our mature lady rider just says give him a squeeze and off he goes. Safe in all traffic including large buses and farm machinery. He goes out in rain, wind, snow and he is always a great hack. Jumping nicely pops a 80cm courses with our 12 year old rider, she loves to jump him as he is easy into a fence and jumps around in a nice rhythm. He still needs more schooling but most levels of riders would be able to progress with him as he is an honest boy. Good to do catch, stable, traffic, load etc Such a great character on the ground and always gets the carrots as he loves his scratches and brushes. Such a straight forward boy.
