I have a 4-4 and a half year old 12.3hh cob. He is still learning, he has been long reined and led out on the road but still needs more practice, he can be ridden in walk and trot and just learning canter. Im wanting someone to go out with, either someone experienced to walk with us or someone with a very quiet horse/pony for him to follow with me leading...and eventually riding! Im in Foulridge so someone local would be best. Looking for someone local to Much Hoole to help out with our 8 Dartmoor ponies, as and when needed. Jobs will include mucking out, turnout, feeding. Must be competent with mares, colts and stallions and youngstock. It will be mainly weekends when i'm away and will consist of mucking out, turning out the stallion and bringing him in and possibly moving the mares around. Hello, I need help to get my percheron x (medium weight) backed and riding on. She turned 5 beginning Sept, has had very little done with her, and was pretty much unhandled before I bought her a few months ago. I'll health has hindered me somewhat and am not going to be able to back her myself, as i have just had a hysterectomy and wont be able to ride until after Christmas. I also have a moorland cob X mare, who is an absolute star, who needs a rider. She's easy and fun, enjoys hacking about, safe in traffic; but unfit and now has no rider. I rebacked her in the spring, and other than a little jig when she falls into canter doesn't put a foot wrong. She's a very lovely girl, pictured above with my nine yr old son, who is a total novice, and he handles her, puts her rugs on, and plods up our lane.
