This is a lovely large vintage mahogany desk by Abbess I made a donation to a church in Newcastle in return for the desk and am gutted to find it doesn't fit up our terrace house stairs! Attractive vintage mahogany writing desk. A lovely vintage writing table. We date this desk to the second half of the 20th century. The desk sits on four tapered legs with reeded detail at the top. The desk has five drawers to its serpenting shaped front, the drawers are fitted with attractive drop handles on embossed oval backplates. The drawers have an attractive finely figured mahogany veneered facia with beaded edges. The top surface has a tooled dark green leather with crossbanded edges.
