Beautiful handmade saddle by Julia Duffin. The most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden in. Made for a very wide gypsy cob, picture included, as you can see he is a true heavyweight, but can accommodate a wither also. I have used this saddle on many different broad horses from cobs to Arabs and even a Percheron and it has never failed to be stable, secure, and offer superior comfort for both horse and rider. Recently used for a riding holiday where many hours and miles were covered in a day and I can vouch I was one of the few that didn't suffer from aches and pains. It's stable and secure enough to enable you to contort I to various positions at gates and has a good enough knee roll to be secure for hunting and jumping. I have hesitated about selling this saddle as it took me years to find and has been the most versatile saddle I have owned. However I have now moved into dressage and showing and I can't justify it sitting there not being used. No damage, in good used condition and I have all my saddles checked six monthly by a master saddler. Flocking was redone in June and it has not been ridden in since. It has serge panels as they offer second to none with regard to fitting and mold to the shape of the horse, and are also warmer and more forgiving for those who are a little cold backed, I was advised when looking for a saddle that these were a superior option to leather.. I genuinely cannot rate this saddle enough and if I could warrant just keeping hold of it I would. It will also come with a brand new unused cavesson hunter bridle in full size with plaited browband and reins in black, as all my other tack is brown. A really exceptional package for those tricky to fit wider horses. Black stirrup leathers and stirrups also included. If I get the full asking price asked for I will also include a good quality used numnah and two Flexigirths, they are both over 50 inches, if these don't fit I will reduce the price of the saddle by £25. For those who have not heard of these they are second to none for rounder built horses who often struggle with saddles slipping, or horses who are sensitive to girth, I use these on all my show cobs, and eliminated the awful feeling of slipping saddles and insecurity. Again if these were brown they would be staying with me as they are very difficult to get hold of. I have had this saddle valued at in excess of £550 on its own and I paid almost double for it second hand. I am looking for £ for the whole package or a very close offer to it. Thorowgood T8 Cob GP saddle black 17.5" XW/XXW

Brought this saddle for young horse who was growing and changing shape approximately a year and a half ago. Purchased as it was adjustable, but he has now levelled off and I'm buying a dressage saddle as this is the direction we are moving towards. Thorowgood advertise this saddle as a good all-round saddle for the rounder build and the low withered Cob-type horse. It has a medium depth seat is ideal for a range of riding activities and offers 4 girthing options to achieve maximum saddle stability. Synthetic underneath but has a quality leather seat and knee pads and gives the feel of riding on an all leather saddle. It is also flocked with 100% British wool. The saddle current is set with the yellow S bar gullet plate which equates to XW/XXW. I also have the white gullet plate - XW and the red gullet plate - W. Wintec GP saddle 17" black with CAIR, XW (white) gullet fitted Measures around " from stud to cantle, so I would say its a small 17" Point straps have been added to either side of  this GP, to prevent movement on the native /cob  type ponies, but its suitable for all types. The point straps can be removed if not required. The saddle has an adjustable gullet and is in good condition.  one of the point girth straps has a bit of the synthetic material missing from the underside, this in no way affects use, i am just mentioning for fullness of description. please email for any further information

18" XW black leather Dever saddle.

18inch Dever black GP saddle stamped XW. Hardly used by myself... looked after immaculately. It has always been wiped over after use, soaped and oiled regularly, always stored in the house with a fleece saddle cover on. Never left in a cold damp tack room. All stitching and straps in perfect order, the only thing to mention is that there are a few scuffs on the cantle (i bought it like this, they look like marks from the saddle being leant against a wall) I have hardly used this extremely comfortable saddle, simply as i bought it then didn't ride very often!
