Hamleys Merrythought Golden Jubilee Teddy Bear 113 of 500

On 6 February HM Queen Elizabeth had been on the throne for 50 years. To commemorate her Golden Jubilee, Merrythought brought out a strictly limited edition of 500 teddy bears for Hamleys of London. Number 113, with Certificate of Authenticity, this is one of those bears. Bought by my late mother and stored in its original packaging ever since, it stands approximately 33cm tall, is handmade from pure, curly, golden mohair, is fully jointed, has hand-sewn features and a growl box. Held between its paws is a royal purple cushion bearing a miniature crown, surrounded by an embroidered dedication. This is a lovely and charming addition for any serious collector of teddy bears and is in its original condition. Buyer collect Matlock (price excludes P&P). Read more
