With seven years teaching experience in schools, theatre schools and as a music teacher I am looking for new students after moving recently moving up to Edinburgh.I am a trained vocalist and guitarist with many years experience playing live, collaborating and writing original material for myself and others. I offer lessons for students either weekly or for every two weeks, with the initial session formed to gage the individual needs, interests and temperament of each student to offer the best and most dynamic learning experience for future lessons. In a cosy and loving environment (with the company of five considerate cats if students aren't allergic) I teach a wide variety of styles including finger style folk, rythmn, reggae, country and Blues. When I was younger, extra curricular activities in the arts increased my confidence and ability to communicate with others, enhancing my ability to adapt and learn with greater ease in the classroom. I find children and young adults are very receptive to music as an outlet for expressing themselves and thrive when learning an instrument and with this insight l love to teach and give laughter and a space for such expression. Most guitar lessons are generally pounds an hour, but I offer hourly lessons for a reduced rate of twelve pounds knowing how hard it was for my parents to afford singing lessons for me at a young age.
