I have a lovely pair of Lavender Araucana Hens that I want to give away to a good home. I'm a smallholder who usually only keeps hens for a couple of seasons before retiring them to the pot! These two hens are such characters, ranging every part of the holding, sharing the other animals food (risking life & limb stealing from the pigs even!) and are generally very amusing in their antics. Only problem is, I can't bring myself to eat them but I don't want to go down the route of starting a hen retirement village. Having to re-home these lovely chickens due to moving. They have just started laying and hopefully will carry on doing as the weather improves and daylight hours get longer. They were purchased from Chelford market last October on point of lay and advertised there as vaccinated. Can provide the galvanised large capacity feeder and water hoppers along with the hens.
