Gretsch Historic Series - acoustic-electric guitar (G). Like some other Gretschies, the Dreadnaught has a triangular sound-hole, spruce top and is notable for its black finish. Installed with a "Fishman" pre-amp for optimum sound quality. Not mint condition but a nice-looking instrument as seen from the attached pics. Made in . I've owned 4 Gretsches in my time - and this is hands down no questions the best, by a country mile. It's like driving a Rolls Royce, guitar-wise. That true, slightly metallic Gretsch Sound, an amazing Gretsch Bigsby that is so to-the-touch, great action, and recently professionally set-up. All pots are clean etc. This has seen a few gigs in its time, and there is one blemish - a tiny bit of the bridge has chipped off, see 3rd photo, but it's good for another 40 years I reckon. Mid-70's Levin W36 dreadnought may be . Great guitar with the power and clarity of a Martin or Gibson. Perfect separation and clarity for recording. All solid woods. Finish is crazed a little and there are numerous little knocks and dings but nothing serious. Looks better in real life than it does in the photos. Neck is pretty normal in width but does have a lot of depth - all adds to the tone I suppose. Action is normal for an acoustic: not too high or low. Bridge has 6 individual saddles and I will include the tool that came with the guitar for adjusting (?) them and tweaking the truss rod. Pickup is a Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker with switch for single coil option. All in all a great guitar with lots of mileage left in it. Not currently used as I have others.
