If you just want a run-of-the-mill Chinese "copy" bass then skip this one - this is for someone who wants to be a bit more original !! Having accumulated seven basses over the years and still having only one pair of hands, I must now downsize. This great retro looking bass has been owned by me for about 15 years. It's based on a Stagg M series. A few years ago I upgraded and refurbished it – newly uprated humbucker pickups are mega-powerful (I have to turn my amp settings down whenever I play this). Tones are warm, deep and bassy – if you’re looking for a twangy rock sound then maybe this is not for you.. Body was refinished in Pagoda Red. Chrome work and hardware is gold. Looks amazing and plays beautifully. I also put a brand new (thinner) maple neck on it about 3 years ago. However, it now sits on the wall most of the time. Collection from Watford NW London area.
