A Quality Victorian Mahogany Serpentine Fronted Mirror Back Chiffonier Sideboard A Quality Victorian mahogany serpentine fronted Mirror back Chiffonier or Sideboard. The side board is formed with it being made from mahogany and flame mahogany, which has very good grain and patina. The Chiffonier is formed with the base section being serpentine fronted. The base is set with two side small cupboard and then a large central cupboard. The side cupboards have a panel of flame mahogany on the front of them and then a carved section to the top of them. It has a carved section to the top and bottom between the cupboards. The central cupboard has a square flame mahogany panel and then a carved oval motif on it. Inside all three cupboards it has a single shelf. The mirrored back section has a shaped top and is very ornate set with carved mahogany mouldings. The moulding around the edge of the mirror is of fruit, swirls and other stylised motifs. The mirror back screws off for ease of moving. The Chiffonier dates to around . Size Height 62.5” Width 56.5” Depth 22.5” Condition The condition of the Chiffonier is excellent, with light marks, scratches and scuffs, a few small pieces of veneer missing, a few small piece of the carved moulding on the back have been reglued but nearly impossible to tell, overall excellent commensurate to age. VICTORIAN CARVED OAK MIRROR ON CAST IRON BASE STAND, VERY RARE & UNUSUAL, c

This is a very rare and unusual carved oak mirror on cast iron base/stand. It has cast iron neck and surround to the mirror, and a thick solid oak central pole to the body. It has dimensions of 74" in height x 26" width (to the mirror), and 20" width to the cast iron base. The only real aspect of any blemish with this item is that the oak body pole leans slightly to one side - this is due to the thread where the body slots onto the base is in need of some attention, and the thread has worn down and this causes it to not slot into place as it should. The cast iron base is also slightly rusted (see pictures), but otherwise there is no further blemishes to mention, and overall it is in very good solid condition.
