Gorgeous 14.2 Irish cob

Diesel 14.2 weight carrying Irish cob, built like a tank. Hacks, pops a jump, has hunted and schools nicely in an outline for a confident rider. Typical cob, can be lazy. Would be a fab family allrounder as he has had a variety of riders on board. Never strong or nasty, sensible in open spaces. He is an affectionate lad who loves a fuss. Currently barefoot, however is nervous with the farrier. I believe he may of had a hot shoe in the past but his confidence is improving every time with a sympathetic farrier. Up to date with teeth/vaccinations etc he has had his back done recently too. This horse has given me so much confidence and means the world to me so please no time wasters or joyriders as this is a very difficult decision. We sent him off for 4 weeks to be professionally schooled and he came back doing walk trot and canter. In the time we have had him he has come on a lot, in the school he is still green but will work in a outline and likes to be kept busy as due to his age does get bored, He does trot poles but have not jumped him, has had a horse bronk around the arena and he never flinched.out hacking he is bombproof and has took nervous ponies out, has seen bikes,trucks,motorbikes and tractors and does not flinch, will go out alone or in company and is fine.he is perfect to catch and turnout and with the farrier(barefoot),dentist(no sedation), getting clipped and bathed and to brush and tack up(snaffle mouthed). He can be turned out with mares and gelding and respects electric fencing. No novices due to his age. He will happily suit someone who wants a happy hacker as he really enjoys it. Only selling due my school commitments. I want the new owners to stay in touch and send pictures, i do not want him to go to someone who will just sell him on as he is a very loving boy who has a lot of character once he gets to know you. Dixie, approx 14.2 gelding aged 14. Ex riding school lad who I bought to hack out on but he is just wasted as I am struggling with my pelvis. He hacks alone but prefers company as will call but then just gets on with it. He enjoys exploring and you don't really need the reigns when he knows the route. Dix has obviously worked hard in his life so now deserves a quieter home but is not ready to retire yet, he certainly does not want to teach anymore. He would suit a mature lady who just wants to spuddle about with friends 2 or 3 times a week. Traffic doesn't phase this chap, he's forward going and a very comfortable ride. Will walk past anything with no fuss. Enjoys a good bath and loves being groomed. Lives out most of the time here but does enjoy a good flat out kip when he does come in.
