We have a very large breeding herd of pygmy goats. Our pygmy goat kids are sought out by people wanting pets or breed stock that is either naturally polled (carries the homeless gene) or have been disbudded by our vet. Our goats therefore make great pets for those people with young children or other livestock. Our customer base includes various schools, farm parks, zoo's, nurseries plus of course people wanting a couple of pets. New owners must have a CPH number. This is easy to obtain, just involves a telephone call and it also free. Our goat kids have the following vaccinations/husbandry before they go to their new homes: E coli prevention, coccidiosis preventative, internal parasite control, external parasite control and clostridial vaccination. On leaving day, we give new owners a feet trimming lesson. Our pygmy goat kids leave us after they have been correctly double ear tagged by us. This is to conform with Defra regulations. We also go through the Movement documentation in great detail with all customers to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities. Our new owners receive lots of information from us when they reserve their goats including; formal invoicing, new owner pygmy goat guide, disbudding information, poisonous plant guide, discounts on hay-hutches plus our Essential items purchase recommendations. Our goats will leave us only once they are fully weaned and totally independent. They will be socialised and used to humans, used to poultry and other livestock and our farm dog. We give new owners handover feed but due to high demand we can also supply new owners with sacks of feed, plus items such as feet clipping shears, foot sprays, salt licks etc (at very competitive prices). Our kids can be seen with their nannies plus our Billies can also be viewed on farm. Viewing is available by appointment. Our farm is based near Braintree Essex.
