This is a beautiful instrument and sounds incredible! It is in good condition and fitted with Grover Locking Machine Heads and Slash Alnico II Pro pickups. I am including the G Force tuning system in with the price so you have an option and also the factory BurstBucker Pro pickups. As I've fitted the Slash pickups the coil taps are not necessary as the guitar now works as a traditional les paul (ie standard volume//tone control) However, if the buyer wants to have access to the split coils the pickups are there. I purchased this guitar from Rich Tone Music in for £ (originally over £) and I'm gutted it has to come to this as it's been by far my favourite Gibson Les Paul I've ever played. Includes a clip on pickguard, Gibson USA hard case, the additional pickups and G Force system, handbook, final workshop photograph and the original price tag that was on the guitar. Here is my Gibson Les Paul Standard I bought back in , unfortunately it has come to this and it will be a big loss. But whoever buys it will be more than happy with this guitar. I've taken off the G Force system and replaced it with Grover Locking Machine Heads which I'm including in the deal. I've also replaced the BurstBucker Pro pickups with Slash Alnico II Pro's which I'm also including in the deal. The coil taps work as a standard tone//volume control however if you decide to change the pickups back, you'll have access to the coil taps. I've also replaced the brass nut with a titanium one as it's much stronger. The guitar comes with the handbook and clip on pick guard, and also a hard case and factory photo. Gentlemen, set your faces to 'Stunned'. Here we have a magnificent Gibson Les Paul Standard from . It's more than a quarter of a century old, with all the classic Gibson brilliance that you expect from that era. Comes in Heritage Cherry Sunburst and it's big, brilliant and, importantly, unchambered. It's got THAT look and THAT sound. Has a few marks here and there, as you'd expect. However, it's clearly lived a privileged life of luxury, with only a couple of minor dings here and there. The most significant is pictured: A tiny indentation on the back of the neck that you absolutely do not feel while playing (look at it compared to my skinny finger to see how small it is). Had a recent pro setup, including complete fret levelling and crowning. Case is rock solid and has that old-style thick shroud that is more like a blanket. The combination lock doesn't work, but if that surprises you then you've never seen a Gibson case before! Also the restraining strap could use glueing or stapling if you actually care about that. I don't, so I've never bothered. Basically, you don't get a Les Paul Standard near this good if you buy new. Collection from Southampton. Best guitar I've ever had, great tone and holds tuning like nothing else. A really crisp tone and that real signature sound. Can sustain like Nigel Tuffnel and get some real good heavy deeper tones. Very versatile depending on your set up. This was last set up a year ago by a professional guitar tech. Pictures are shown with Bareknuckle nail bomb installed at the bridge but I will put the original gibson humbucker back in for the sale.
