Mum & dad seen in photo Giant African Land Snails (GALS) are very easy to keep and will thrive as long as they are kept warm, clean and damp. GALS live for between five and ten years. They feed on many plants and vegetables so are a great way to recycle some of your kitchen scraps. Remember to thoroughly wash their food though as pesticides could harm them. Various sizes around the size of a 2p coin, 4 weeks old. 2 for £5. These are PETS not food. They live in top soil and grow very fast. They will need to be sprayed lightly every day with water and fed fresh fruit and veg daily. It is essential you have a cuttle bone in the enclosure with them to promote good healthy shell growth, some where for them to hide like a cup on its side and a shallow dish of water for them to bathe and drink from. Things I feed my snails daily: Cucumber Lettuce (not iceberg) Tomatoes Courgettes Apples Please have a tank ready for the snails before you contact me. You can buy a cheap small tank for £12 at pound stretchers, B&M etc or you can use a large plastic tub with a lid. Just fill the bottom with soil and hiding places. Bring a container for them to be transported. I will not sell to people who I think are unsuitable. Don't take it to heart if I turn you away. Pictured is Gandalf who is 24cm long! and possibly still growing (they can get up to 30cm) something people arent always fully aware of or as misinformed when buying. I offer a permanent forever home as this is a sanctuary not a re-homing rescue.
