The gladness was great and the celebrations continued for weeks after the liberation. This gladness was vented on postcards.In the period of the liberation at least 800 unique liberation cards were made and sent in The Netherlands as a sign of joy, happiness, gratitude, nostalgia, humour, but also hate for the occupier.
